Statement: Pat Falvey rescheduling North Pole 2012 attempt from Canada
It is with sadness that I will be rescheduling my expedition from going to the North Pole via Canada this year 2012
Increasing expedition cost due to a strengthening dollar against the euro and currant logistical arrangements and costing over the last 12 weeks have increased the total funding required to over $100,000 each all of which have made the expedition untenable for me this year from Canada.
I am reflecting on other current options and expeditions. I will keep you all informed in the coming weeks in relation to my intentions as I refocus on the current situation
