Course Description 2013
See where you stand before a high altitude trek or climb…..
The aim of this camp is to simulate the physical and mental requirements you will need leading up to and including summit day/night and it will test all your new equipment and clothing. Whether it is Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Russia or Aconcagua in South America. You will experience a typical summit day on one of these treks, from the time you wake to the time you sleep. We include a walk up to the summit of Carrauntoohill and a night climb to Purple Mountain, and this will prove as highly valuable experience when the time comes to summit. We highly recommend the Summit Endurance Camp if you plan to complete a trek abroad, also if you have already completed The Expedition Training Camp. You will gain an insight to the typical schedule, mental and physical requirement and this will also highlight the importance of teamwork.. Please see the itinerary.
