Pat Falvey (Expedition Leader) & Dr Clare O’Leary summited Mt Everest on the 18th May 2004. D. Clare O Leary became the 1st Irish Female do so. Video: Highest Puc Fada and first Irish female to summit Everest.

Falvey also became one of only a few to have climbed Mt Everest from both south Nepal and North Tibetan routes. A great day and a sad day as three people from other teams reached the summit but did not make it back and died as they made their way out of the incoming storm and high jet stream winds just below the peak.

Irish team Team.

Expedition Leader: Pat Falvey

Climbers: Dr Clare O Leary, John Joyce Sidar: Pemba Gyalje Sherpa  Phendon Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, Mingma Sherpa.
