The video covers the following information:

Airport

Make sure you are on time for your international flights. Be at the Airport three hours before departure. Prepare for the chaos of African airport security and customs.

Health

Make sure you have all vaccinations and have consulted your own doctor about the trip. Ensure you have all you own personal medication with you.

Altitude Sickness

As we are hiking at altitude it is important that you bring the right medication with you for any side effects of altitude sickness. Such as nausea, stomack bugs. Consider bringing Diamox, please consult your doctor.

Money

This is always a big question. If you are travelling from the EU, we reccomend bring euro’s. If you are travelling from outside the EU, we recommend bringing US dollars or Sterling. Tips are discretional, and from past experiance team members usually leave €150 – €200.

Also bring the tip on the mountain with you as this will be the only chance for you to give the porters, guides and cooks their tip.

Electronics

Please ensure you get a universal plug adaptor, you can get these at airports if you wish. There is no charging on the mountain, please bring battery packs or have enough power with you. Also keep batteries warm as the run out faster in the cold this will be important on the summit night.
