Rope Techniques
Mountaineering and hillwalking is one of the fastest growing
hobby’s and sports in the world and can be appreciated
even greater if you acquire the basic training on how to
look after yourself in the great outdoors.
One of the most important fundamentals of outdoor life
is to have the ability to look after yourself, It is your
responsibility to ensure that you are as prepared as you
can be to undertake your set out objectives, you owe it
to yourself and to others.
In doing so you add a new dimension to the enjoyment of
your adventures and become a more proficient walker, trekker
or climber.

Rope Skills
For those who want to advance from general hill-walker to
scrambling, rock-climbing, glacier travel and general mountaineering
we run 1,2, and 3-day events to help you make an easy transition.
Areas Covered
Rope, Harness, protection, climbing techniques, glacier travel,
glacier rescue, and fix rope techniques.
These events ca
n cumulate in a climb on some classical mountain
routes here in Kerry.
Refresh Rope Techniques
Due to the fact that people may not have used techniques
of rope-work that they have learned for a while, we run
refresher courses throughout the season which may include
a classic climb on Ireland highest mountains.
